Walls

The following walls are unique.  The qualities and strengths of them were noticed in time, the design and construction was inspired by thrift. Our walls are built using 100% recycled concrete from dismantled sidewalks.

The charm of plants is lost when a perfect wall vies for attention

One crack in perfection and perfection is no more

A wall that flows with the earth lasts longer than one that fights it

This first wall is at our home.  The grade of the yard is very steep so it was a real challenge to create the tiers and even more fun to design the pond with a biological filter.

Like all tinkering, perhaps it has become over-designed.  On each tier is a 1/2" sprinkler line so that in the future the gardens can be gravity fed from water gathered off the eaves.
